Milford police: Man tried to break into 2 homes

Milford police say a man attempted to break into two homes in the city.

Police say residents' surveillance systems captured the suspect as he tried to see if the front doors were unlocked. Both incidents happened on Cedarhurst Lane; the first on July 7 around 3 a.m. and the other July 11 around 2:45 a.m.

Police say the suspect fled as soon as he discovered he was on camera. They add he wore a Yankees hat, gloves and a face covering.

Authorities believe the suspect is acting alone. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Milford police at 203-878-6551.
