Construction could mean delays on Route 8-25 connector
Drivers are being told to prepare for more delays on the Route 8-25 connector in Bridgeport.
The second stage of the bridge replacement project is scheduled to start overnight.
The DOT says all traffic will be reduced to two lanes and shifted onto the northbound side of the highway between exits 3 and 5.
The opposite happened last month when the southbound side of the highway was closed for two weeks.
Crews will be tearing down the old Lindley Street and Capitol Avenue bridges and replacing them with structures that have already been constructed.
The project is expected to be finished by July 30.
