Melania Trump's speech sparks plagiarism controversy
Donald Trump's wife, Melania, delivered the keynote address last night at the Republican National Convention.
In a rare public speech, she called her husband a principled man who is devoted to the nation and determined to unite America for the greater good.
Many noticed, however, that parts of Mrs. Trump's speech bared a strong similarity to one first lady Michelle Obama delivered about her husband eight years ago. Some paragraphs matched word for word.
In response to the criticism, Trump's campaign chairman said this morning that he doesn't believe portions of the speech were plagiarized from Mrs. Obama's address.
He admitted that some portions matched, but claimed they were just common words, not entire sentences.
