Bridgeport city officials agree to concession agreement

Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim and city union leaders signed a new concession agreement this week.

Ganim says the unions agreed to a one-year wage freeze in exchange for no layoffs until June 2018.

The move now protects 27 jobs in 14 different departments.

Ganim says the move is expected to save the city a lot of money.

The mayor says the agreement benefits the city's future and will help unite the city's workforce.
