Woman arrested after children found wandering faces judge

A Westport woman who was arrested after her children were found wandering on Post Road East appeared before a judge Wednesday in Norwalk.
Police say 33-year-old Natalie Bonny was arrested in March after her two young boys, ages 5 and 2, were found wandering unattended on Post Road East. She was charged with risk of injury for allegedly leaving her kids alone at home.
Bonny told News 12 Wednesday morning that she is remorseful, and called the night of the incident one of the worst moments of her life.
She says she learned from her mistakes and would like to thank the good Samaritans who found her children and brought them to police. Bonny also says that police did a great job.
Bonny adds that she's thankful for the support the community has shown and is taking advantage of the parenting classes and counseling services offered to her since her arrest.
Bonny has regained custody of her 5-year-old and says she expects the same outcome with her 2-year-old.
