Stamford residents volunteered to help clean up Jackie Robinson Park Saturday morning.

Organizers of the park cleanup say it isn't just about picking up garbage and debris, it's about taking back their park.

They say that there have been a number of incidents at city parks this summer, including shootings, and residents say it's time for people to get back into the parks and reclaim them. They say cleaning up is one step toward that goal.
