Police: Woman robbed of cash, jewelry in Stamford
Police say two armed robbers stole cash and jewelry from a woman in Stamford Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the victim was leaving the Subway restaurant on West Main Street where she worked when she was approached by a man and a woman.
They say after a conversation, the victim agreed to give them a ride.
Police say the man then brandished a gun and directed her to withdraw money. They say the woman, under the suspects' orders, drove to the Wells Fargo Bank on Elm Street where she withdrew $1,500.
They then went to her apartment on Court Street where they stole additional cash and jewelry.
Police say they are particularly concerned because the suspects said they know the victim's family members and threatened to hurt them if she did not follow their orders.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and examining surveillance video as they move forward with the investigation.
No arrests have been made.
