Police: 1 arrested after Bridgeport teen is attacked at home

Police have arrested one suspect and are looking for three others in a group attack on a high school senior at his home.

The attack took place around 8 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators say a group of teens confronted the victim because they thought he had stolen a cellphone.

Bridgeport police say four teens broke the fence down before pulling the victim out of his home and assaulting him on his front yard.

Police say the victim went to the hospital and was treated for several broken ribs and a fractured nose.

Investigators are in the process of looking at surveillance video of the attack.

Anyone who may have witnessed the attack is asked to contact the Bridgeport Police Department.
