State police help deliver baby boy at barracks in Bethany

State police say they helped deliver a baby boy at their barracks Saturday morning.

Police say Troop I in Bethany received a call from emergency officials around 2:15 a.m. saying a woman in labor was being driven to the station.

They say she arrived before the ambulance got there, so troopers helped deliver the boy.

Police say afterward, they were then taken to the hospital where the mother and baby are happy and healthy.
