Popular Westport deli closes as owner battles cancer

Sunday marked the end of an era for a famous deli in Westport.
The owners of Oscar's Deli invited customers to say goodbye, as the deli which was a staple for decades on Main Street closed its doors.
Customers and employees say a trip to Oscar's wasn't just about the food, but about feeding the soul thanks to the man in charge.
Lee Papageorge has owned Oscar's for 42 years and has been in the hospital battling lung cancer.
His daughter says Papageorge thought about closing for years, but was hesitant because he didn't want a big-chain business to move in.
Papageorge is described as very generous, giving to many charities and groups over the years.
Oscar's Deli's Facebook page has been flooded with people posting pictures and memories of the store, and wishing for Papageorge to get well soon.
