Yale University to reconsider not renaming a residential college
Yale University may reconsider its decision not to rename a residential college named after an ardent supporter of slavery.
Earlier this year, protesters rallied against the university, demanding a name change for Calhoun College.
The building was named after 19th century Vice President John C. Calhoun who was a Yale alumni.
Yale's president announced yesterday the university is looking into policy changes, including potentially renaming some historical buildings that some find offensive.
