Norwalk police are asking for the public's help today to solve a cold case that's been unsolved for 23 years.
Police say 21-year-old Fathom Myrick was with her boyfriend, Cleveland Thompson, in a car outside the former Rumors Cafe and Sonny's Pizza on West Avenue when rival gang members opened fire in 1993. Myrick was killed, and police say Thompson refused to identify the gunmen and was deported to Jamaica in 2000.
Investigators say they're hoping someone opens up.
Police say tips can be called in or sent anonymously.
