New Canaan considers telecommuting for its workers
Workers for the town of New Canaan may soon be able to telecommute or work four days a week instead of five.The move is being considered due to the rising cost of gas and electricity. Redding and Shelton are among the communities that have already made the switch.Town employees say the idea first came from the IT department. Officials say about 15 employees would be able to telecommute while close to 50 would be able to do the four-day work week.Employees that spoke with News 12 Connecticut all said they are in favor of the proposal.To give your thoughts on the proposal:cheryl.jones@ci.new-canaan.ct.us
