Cops: Stamford mom left child in car while she shopped

A Stamford mother is out on bail after she was arrested for allegedly leaving her 22-month-old child in a hot car while she went shopping.
Stamford police say the boy is lucky a Good Samaritan noticed him crying as the temperature inside the car became unbearable.
Lt. Sean Cooney says the incident happened at around 1 p.m. Saturday when the mother went shopping at HomeGoods on High Ridge Road in Stamford.
A person who noticed the child crying and sweating profusely called police, who rescued the 22-month-old by breaking one of the car's windows. Cooney says officers also gave the child some water.
About 15 minutes later, the mother, 30-year-old Ju Young Seo, came out of the store and was placed under arrest. She was charged with risk of injury to a minor, a felony.
The mother was later released on bail and will have to appear at a court proceeding.
Cooney says the child was released to his father.
