Mom of slain Fairfield teen reaches out to public

The mother of a Fairfield teenager gunned down in his home earlier this month is pleading for anyone with information into his murder to come forward.

Mary Schneider's 17-year-old son Kyle was shot to death on May 1. Police have not yet been able to make an arrest.

In an exclusive interview with News 12 Connecticut, Schneider says the anguish caused by his murder has been crippling.

"I've been numb, crazy with grief," she says. "Can't believe I'm never gonna hug my son again or look in those brown eyes."

As police search for a motive or possible suspect in the case, Schneider is imploring the public for help in solving his murder.

"I just want anybody who knows anything and knew any of his whereabouts or had any contact with him that day to contact the police," she says.

Fairfield police can be contacted at (203) 254-4840.
