BB gun shot at Stamford mayor's home; 3 arrested

(05/14/08) STAMFORD ? Police say they have arrested three teens who shot a BB gun at the home of Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy Tuesday night.
Investigators say the individuals drove past Malloy's Ocean Drive home at around 8 p.m. and shot out a window. According to police, the teens were randomly targeting homes and did not know they were shooting at the mayor's house.
Malloy's son was home and witnessed the shooting take place. Police say he jumped in his car, followed the shooters and took down the license plate number. Police say they were then able to use that information to make the arrests.
Malloy was not home at the time of the shooting. Mukund Vaghela and Cesar Delpozo, both 18, as well as a 17-year-old who police say was the shooter were released on $1,000 bond each. They are scheduled to appear in court later this month.
