Norwalk police investigate infant's death

Police are investigating a Norwalk mother's role in the death of her infant son.

Police were called Thursday morning after 11-week-old Justin Ali was noticed having breathing problems. The infant died later that day at Norwalk Hospital, the same place he was born.

Police are looking into which parent was present when the baby's difficulties began.

Yasheika Battle, the infant's mother, was arrested only two days after Justin's birth for allegedly smoking marijuana in the hospital. After her arrest, custody of Justin was given to the boy's father.

According to relatives, a funeral is being planned for the baby.
