Stamford residents fear gunfire could end in tragedy

A third shooting incident in Stamford this week happened Thursday night and neighbors say they?re afraid of who might get caught in the crossfire in the future.
Police say half a dozen shots were fired on Rose Park Avenue near West Main Street around 8 p.m. One bullet went through the windshield of car and out the back. No one was hurt in that incident, nor in Wednesday night?s shooting incident.
Last weekend, however, a 19-year-old was shot in the arm and leg. Police are trying to determine if the three cases are connected. They say they are stepping up patrols in the area for the weekend.
