Budget cuts could close 4 Bridgeport libraries

Four Bridgeport libraries face closing as Mayor Bill Finch pushes to cut the library budget by more than $1 million.
"We have to make the city come back to sound fiscal management," says Finch.
Only the city's main branch would remain open if the others were to close. The mayor says the libraries could be saved if other departments can find ways to cut costs.
Twenty-two employees face possible termination. Residents feel they would lose out as well, especially with the rising cost of living.
"We're not going to have money to buy books," says resident Awilda Farley. "That's what the library is for."
