Black Goose Grille gets ready to shut its doors
A staple in the heart of Darien is getting ready to close down.
The Black Goose Grille on Post Road is set to shut its doors for good on April 27. The restaurant has been in town and owned by the same couple for 25 years. They say they wanted to create a place with a comfortable name where people could hang out and get a great meal.
The owners say with chain stores coming to town and rents going up, they have no choice but to close.
On Monday, April 28, the owners are throwing a party for all of their loyal patrons. They are also holding a tag sale where everything in the restaurant will be sold, including all of the black geese.
