Bridgeport police respond to roommate brawl

Bridgeport police responded to a bloody brawl between two male roommates at their Park Avenue apartment Friday.
Authorities were called to the home around 11 a.m. and the men were found fighting on their kitchen floor. A witness says he saw the two men covered in blood as police held them to the ground awaiting medical attention.
Police say alcohol may have been a factor, but they do not know how long the men have known each other or the cause of the blowout. It is not clear if any weapons were involved.
"There's some indication that broken glass might have been used," says Capt. Lynn Kerwin, of the Bridgeport Police Department. "It basically looks more like a fistfight."
According to police, one of the men was originally in serious condition but both are now recovering. Both men have been charged with assault and are being held on $25,000 bond.
