Stamford Christian community celebrates Good Friday

Hundreds gathered at Cunningham Park in Stamford Friday to commemorate the crucifixion Jesus Christ. Bishop William Lori of the Bridgeport Diocese led a 14-stage service that included hymns, prayers and Stations of the Cross down Soundview Avenue. For many Christians, Good Friday custom is a yearly family event. ?We want to do it every year, we don?t want to lose our tradition? said one participant. Easter is the most important Christian holiday.
