Norwalk crash sends at least 2 to the hospital

A crash in Norwalk sent at least two people to the hospital with serious injuries Tuesday night.

The accident occurred on Newtown Avenue after 7 p.m. Police say the wreckage was so bad, they are having trouble figuring out exactly what happened. However, authorities believe speed was involved. Investigators are also looking into whether alcohol was a factor.

Police say a woman in a BMW suffered several broken bones. They also say a truck driver involved in the crash suffered serious injuries.

Both victims were listed in stable condition. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
