2 men accused of robbing, stabbing teen at mall

Police in Stamford are looking for two men they say robbed and stabbed an teen inside a mall bathroom.

According to police, the incident happened inside the men?s bathroom on the fifth floor of the Stamford Town Center Sunday. Authorities say two men followed two shoppers into the bathroom before closing time. According to detectives, while the 17-year-old victim was washing his hands, the two suspects demanded his money and phone. Police say a fight ensued and that?s when the teen was stabbed.

The suspects made off with less than $15 and a cell phone. The victim, who was stabbed twice in the shoulder, was treated and released from Stamford Hospital.

Meanwhile, the mall manager says this was an unusual incident and security officers are following normal procedures.
