Heartfelt respects paid to teen killed in Milford crash

Friends and relatives said heartfelt goodbyes in Milford Thursday during the wake of a teen killed Monday in a car crash.
Mourners waited in line at the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home to pay their respects to Shawn Foley, 17. The Jonathan Law High School student is remembered as an all-around good kid who was a kicker on the football team and an all-state sprinter.
A parent said her daughter was friends with Foley. "She's upset about it," said Olimpia Rutkowski. "She knew Shawn for quite some time. They live in the neighborhood with us and you know it's a friend that's gone, and it hits everybody."
Foley will be buried Friday following a funeral service. A wake will be held Friday for Jonathan Dolceacqua, 18, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Another teen, 16-year-old Michael Vacino, was seriously injured in the wreck.
