Police bust stolen car ring in Fairfield

State police say they busted a high-end stolen car ring in the middle of the night in Fairfield.

According to police, three of the cars were found at the Fairfield rest stop near exit 22 on I-95. Police arrested Juan Borrom, Estaban DeJesus, Juan Contreras, all from the Bronx, and Edwin Gonzalez, of Bridgeport, in the undercover investigation.

Police say the ring was retagging cars, which means the vehicle identification numbers were changed. Among the pricey cars police seized was a Cadillac Escalade.

The men are each being held on $250,000 bond.
