Stamford police search evidence in armed robbery

Police in Stamford are searching through evidence after an armed robbery Sunday morning.
Officers say they were called to the Gulf gas station at 1125 East Main St. around 1:20 a.m. Authorities say two men wearing blue ski masks held up the station and stole money. According to police, one of the men held a gun while the other grabbed money from behind the counter.
Police say the suspects fled on foot, but left several pieces of evidence behind.
?We do have some witness information that we were able to gather,? Stamford Police Lt. Sean Cooney says. ?We?ve got some physical evidence, both from inside the store and outside.?
