Police: Bridgeport's first '08 murder 'extremely brutal'

Bridgeport detectives say they need the public?s help to solve the city?s first homicide of 2008.

Police say 21-year-old Blake Moore, of Stratford, was shot with a shotgun on Pembroke Street Tuesday morning. They say Moore was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where he later died.

According to police, some type of confrontation preceded the shooting. Lt. James Viadero says it was unusual that Moore was killed with a shotgun. Police are calling Moore?s murder an extremely brutal homicide.
