Funeral held for Stamford shooting victim
Hundreds filled a Stamford church Tuesday to say goodbye to a 22-year-old man who was shot to death last week.
Gregory Rowell was found dead in the driver's side of his vehicle around 6 a.m. on Dec. 5. The car was located in a parking lot near the Stamford-Greenwich border. No arrests have been made.
Rowell was a youth leader for several community programs. He was also a dancer who friends describe as a hard-working man with a bright future.
Friends and family who gathered at Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church say they are still shocked by the crime. Rowell?s loved ones say he never hung out with the wrong crowd.
Police say they are following up on several leads and are confident they will make an arrest.
