Stamford RBS construction workers found with drugs
Two iron workers at the Stamford Royal Bank of Scotland construction site were arrested Monday for carrying drugs.
Stamford police say a tip from a district attorney led to the arrest of Michael Miller, of Branford. He was arrested on outstanding warrants and was found with nine bags of heroin at the RBS site at the time of the arrest, police said.
On the same day, the Stamford narcotics division arrested another iron worker who was allegedly found with cocaine.
The construction site has seen a lot of police activity recently. Three nooses were found at the site in the past few weeks.
?This was a separate investigation, but of course we're looking into if this party has any involvement as part of our investigation,? said Capt. Richard Conklin of the Stamford police department. ?We've questioned this party and we'll continue to follow up on that.?
Both men are in custody. Court dates have been set for next week.
