Truck driver crashes into Greenwich home

The driver of a truck that crashed into a Sound Beach Avenue home Tuesday night remains hospitalized.
The driver suffered a neck injury and may need to undergo surgery. His name has not been released.
The truck swerved off the road and flipped several times before crashing through a fence and coming to a stop against the house. The driver was trapped inside until Jim Connolly, a neighbor taking out his garbage, pried the passenger side door open with a piece of the truck's rim.
A utility pole, two mailboxes and the recycling bin Connolly had just brought to the curb were destroyed in the truck's path. Connolly says the destruction serves as a reminder of what could have happened.
"You start realizing I could have been killed," says Connolly. "I could have been hit."
