Man found fatally shot in Stamford
Relatives of a man who was found fatally shot Wednesday in Stamford are distraught over the loss, and police are searching for a suspect.
Gregory Rowell, 22, was found dead in the driver's side of his vehicle around 6 a.m. The car was located in a parking lot near the Stamford-Greenwich border. Rowell's family and friends burst into tears when they arrived at the scene.
"All I got was word that my son was up here, shot," said Patricia Rowell, the victim's mother. "I don't know nothing ? I don't want to know nothing," she said.
Mourners remember Rowell as a determined young man who worked two jobs, one as a manager at a Greenwich hotel. His family believes he may have just finished his shift when he was shot.
