Stamford firefighter killed in Iraq

Stamford's firefighters are mourning the death of one of their own who was killed in Iraq Sunday.
Glenbrook Fire Department representatives say Gabrielle Costello, 26, gave his life serving his country. The department plans to remember Costello at their annual tree lighting ceremony on Saturday.
"He was warm, giving of his time and self," says Glenbrook's Lt. Troy Jones. "He was a good man. We're still trying to absorb this."
Costello joined the department in 2004, eight months before he enlisted. Firefighters have hung memorial bunting in his honor.
Firefighters say they consider the fallen soldier a brother whom they will not soon forget. Military officials are unable to confirm any information about Costello's death.
