Group sends packages from the heart to war zones

A Connecticut nonprofit is making sure care packages get to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan on time for the holidays.
The Project from the Heart group has sent out 3,260 packages since the conflicts began. It sends items such as socks, toiletries and CDs.
"It's better to give," said Miriam Zalenski, with Project from the Heart. "They need to know that we care about them, that they're not forgotten."
The group is run completely by donations. The U.S. Postal Service is recommending mail be sent out by Dec. 4 in order to reach troops by Christmas.
