Norwalk police need public's help in fatal shooting

Norwalk community leaders spoke out Monday, while police urged the public to come forward with information about a fatal shooting.
Steven Williams, of Bridgeport, was shot outside the Washington Village Complex on Nov. 11. Authorities say Williams died of his injuries over the weekend.
Community leaders say Williams? death was the last straw. They say if the apartment complex is going to change, it needs to help itself.
?No one should have to go to bed wondering if a bullet is going to come through their window ? if there are drug dealers outside their door,? Councilwoman Rev. Phyllis Bolden said.
Bolden and Councilman Carvin Hilliard say they need to change the culture of today?s inner city youth. Police Chief Harry Rilling says his department is on board. All three agree that the first step residents have to take is to report crimes in their neighborhood. Police say all tips can be reported anonymously.
Meanwhile, no arrests have been made in Williams? death.
