Darien flood victims turn to SBA for help

After being denied federal aid by FEMA, businesses and homeowners in Darien devastated by flooding earlier this month are turning to the Small Business Administration for help.
Victims of the storm can apply for low interest loans from the SBA -- as low as 3.125 percent and 4 percent for businesses. If 40 percent or more of the value of the home was damaged, the SBA will consider taking on the mortgage at that low rate. The SBA will be at Darien Town Hall from Tuesday, October 30 until Thursday, November 8.
