Area relief workers head to CA to help wildfire victims
The Red Cross is looking for workers from southwestern Connecticut to help with recent disasters.In addition to the wildfires raging in Southern California, recent tornadoes and a Hazmat situation in the Carolinas have spread the agency?s resources thin. Christian Cassell, a relief worker from the Red Cross' Greenwich chapter on Indian Field Road, says he is excited to go to California and ready to pitch in. In addition to aiding at the disaster areas, the Red Cross? Web site is helping displaced victims connect with their loved ones.
