Teens arrested for burning down Redding home twice

Two teenagers were busted Monday for burning down a Redding property not once, but twice.
Redding police say they took the two teenagers into custody in connection to the repeated arson of a house being constructed at 81 Lonetown Road. The first fire nearly destroyed the home on Mother's Day. A second blaze was started in August to what was left standing, but firefighters were able to save some of the building's structure.
"We want to make sure they're prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," said the property's owner, Craig Lanihan.
The teenagers have been released into the custody of their parents and are expected back in court in two weeks. They are facing both arson and burglary charges.
