2 weekend shootings leave police without answers

Police are searching for leads in two weekend shootings in Bridgeport. Police say a male was shot around 3 a.m. Sunday on Maplewood Avenue. About 24 hours earlier, another was shot on the other side of Bridgeport. Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Residents say the two shootings have left them wondering if they might get caught in the crossfire. However, they say that the sound of gunshots has become a part of everyday life.

Some residents say they can sense before things heat up in the neighborhood.

Bridgeport police are urging anyone with information about the shootings to call them at 203-576-7917 or 203-576-7917.
