Norwalk bank robbed by armed man, suspect on loose
A Norwalk bank was the target of an armed robbery early Saturday.
Police say a man with a gun walked into the Webster Bank around 11 a.m. and demanded money. By the time officers arrived at the bank, the robber was gone with the money. However, police say they were able to get a good description of the man.
Police say it is not easy to get in and out of the area where the bank is because of the amount of traffic and people and the busy time of day.
More than 10 Norwalk banks have been robbed in recent weeks. Investigators have not connected any of the cases, but are hoping the most recent description is enough to help solve the case.
