Ridgefield residents want sex offender to move out

Ridgefield residents who are now the neighbors of a registered sex offender say they want him out of the neighborhood.
Carl Fisher, 37, moved to Ridgefield last month, where he is renting a house. In 1997, he was convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl from Redding.
People say they?re worried about the children who walk up and down the sidewalks of the community. They fear what might happen if one of them comes in contact with Fisher.
Fisher is originally from Connecticut. He was ordered back to the state after he allegedly violated his probation. Since Fisher?s arrival in Ridgefield, the community has stepped up police patrols. Fisher is also regularly visited by a probation officer and wears an electronic monitoring bracelet.
