Homeowners across Stamford are assessing the damage after Thursday?s storm left more than 6 inches of rain in less than four hours.
Fast-rising flood waters stranded an elderly woman in her Limerick Street apartment in more than 4 feet of water. The 85-year-old woman had to be rescued by her son-in-law, Dan Sposi.
The woman, who has lived in her home for about 30 years, claims she has never had any flooding problems until about 13 months ago. Since then, she says her apartment has flooded three times.
