Greenwich residents outraged over tire-slashing spree

Neighbors in Greenwich are outraged that someone seems to have gone on a tire-slashing spree at their expense over the weekend.

Greenwich police say it happened on South Water Street in the Byram section around 4:30 Sunday morning. They say nearly 30 cars were hit in one night. Neighbors estimate thousands of dollars in damage.

Around the corner on another street, mirrors were knocked off parked cars.

Police say they are stepping up patrols around the area. They are also hoping for any witnesses to come forward.
