Man attempts to abduct boy at school bus stop
A man attempted to abduct an 11-year-old boy as he got off his school bus Wednesday, Stamford police said.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Pressprich Street and Fairfield Avenue, near the boy's bus stop. Police said a man in a car approached the boy and offered him a candy bar. The man ordered him into the car after the boy declined, police said, but he ran home instead.
According to police, the suspect was driving a white, two-door sedan with a dent in the passenger door.
