Tenants: Bedbugs bite at Bridgeport housing complex
A public housing complex in Bridgeport is crawling with bedbugs, according to residents who say they can't get a good night's sleep.
Tenants at the Marlboro Court complex on Pembroke Street complain the infestation started last summer on the third floor and quickly spread.
One woman showed News 12 Connecticut cameras bite marks on her arms and legs. However, tenants said they were too afraid to speak on camera for fear of retaliation.
A Bridgeport Housing Authority spokesperson said residents were sent letters explaining what they have to do to facilitate the extermination process. According to the BHA, those instructions weren't followed so a scheduled extermination has been postponed.
