Bridgeport police nab alleged cop impersonator

Bridgeport police arrested a man they say impersonated a police officer so he could steal money.
Police say John O?Connor, of Seymour, may be connected to three cases over the past week.
Mickey Cohen says O?Connor pulled up in front of him and passed himself off as an undercover detective. He says O?Connor then asked him for identification, so he handed over his wallet. The officer impersonator returned the wallet, without any money inside, and drove off, says Cohen.
O?Connor was charged with robbery and is being held on $100,000 bond. Police are investigating whether O?Connor is responsible for two similar incidents.
