Details emerge about police impersonator
(09/10/07) MILFORD ? The Milford Police Department is searching for a police impersonator they say sexually assaulted a female motorist Friday night.
According to investigators, the impersonator pulled the 29-year-old victim over near North Street. He then used physical force to get her to comply with his demands. The victim tried to follow her attacker after the assault, but police say she lost him.
Police say the impersonator?s disguise includes some type of police or security uniform with a medium-grey, button-down shirt. His pants were dark blue or black with a light-blue stripe, outlined with yellow pinstripes, down the side.
The suspect also wore an equipment belt, handcuffs, radio and even a sidearm. He is believed to be driving a light-grey Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows and two antennas. Police say the impersonator used flashing lights to pull his victim over before the attack.
