Milford police on lookout for cop impersonator

Milford police are looking for a man who posed as a police officer, pulled over a woman and sexually harassed her.

Police say the fake officer had a uniform, handcuffs, a radio and sidearm when he pulled over 29-year-old Ivette Torres for a fake traffic stop.

The vehicle he was driving looked like an undercover police car, according to police. Torres says the car had flashing blue and red lights as well.

Connecticut State Police are warning all drivers to be aware of their surroundings, even during a traffic stop. They say all police officers are required to pull people over in safe and well-lit areas.
