Fire claims home of Bridgeport foster mother

A Bridgeport woman known for giving a home to homeless children finds herself without a place to live after a fire broke out in her house.

Florence Johnson and some of her foster children are staying with a relative after the fire broke out Thursday. The rest of the children are staying with another family.

Johnson says the fire destroyed nearly everything in her home, but the worst part of it was losing the photographs of the more than 50 children she?s given a home to over the years.

Johnson's pastor at The Bridge in Bridgeport is asking for donations to help the family.
