Police probe fatal shooting in Stamford

Police are investigating a late-night shooting in Stamford that left one man dead.

Police are not releasing the name of the 22-year-old male, who was shot in the chest around 11:15 p.m. Monday on Dale Street.

Investigators are looking for a dark-colored Toyota. Police say they are also interested in a car involved in a crash along I-95 in Westport shortly after the shooting. The driver of that car was taken to Norwalk Hospital.

Police say it?s too early to know the motivation behind the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Stamford police at 203-977-4406.
